LaToya Wilkes, LCSW

My best hope is to give Ear to, Encourage, and Empower all those I encounter. I have over 20 years of experience working with children and families. I apply motivational strategies, combined with CBT techniques, through a trauma-informed lens to support individuals through their healing journey and empower them to take action towards their well-being goals.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker who enjoys working with children and adults and and am trauma informed in my practice. My training includes trauma (including adverse childhood experiences), grief and loss, and crisis intervention. I am a parent educator, foster parent trainer, and adoption specialist, and I am passionate about enhancing access for children and families to services to meet their needs for physical and psychological safety, health, and well-being.

Fun fact: I love Jurassic Park movies and spinoffs and my favorite character is Big Eatie, the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Client preferences: children ages 6 and up, adults (especially parents seeking support in enhancing parenting skills, interpersonal skills, and managing family conflict).
