Mary LaDuke, LCSW

I place a high value on fostering an atmosphere of comfort, empathy, and understanding, and to provide you with a safe space to explore your emotions and address your concerns. My commitment to cultivating a welcoming and supportive environment while emphasizing the importance of trust and compassion is also an important part of the therapy process. I hope you feel valued, respected, and empowered as you navigate your journey towards mental and emotional wellness.

My faith in God informs my values, ethics, and approach to helping others, allowing me to offer spiritual support, if you would like to explore that as part of the counseling process. I hope to provide you with a holistic counseling experience that aligns with your needs and personal convictions.

I have years of experience working with individuals of varying ages, backgrounds and cultures. My social work experience started when I lived and worked in an inner-city environment in Los Angeles with children and youth from difficult backgrounds. From there I served as a school social worker and counselor in both public and private schools and in counseling agencies in St. Louis. I also had the wonderful opportunity to live in southern Spain for three years serving marginalized women as well as providing care and counseling to missionaries from around the world.

Currently I work with individuals of all ages and issues ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, parenting, adoption and foster care, grief and loss, aging and more. I have a specialty in EMDR for trauma-related issues. I take United Healthcare/Optum, Aetna and Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance, as well as private pay.

On a personal note, I have a grown daughter, son-in-law, grandson and a playful puppy, all of whom I enjoy tremendously.
